چکیده
Agricultural production in sodic soil may be hindered by its unfavorable physicochemical properties. In order to find effective measure improve the health of and make it favourable for crop production, a field experiment was conducted at ZARS VC Farm Mandya study effect different amendments on properties soil. The laid under split plot design with inorganic nutrient management viz., RDF, SSNM STCR as main treatments such press mud, gypsum Mangala setright, (a commercial conditioner containing 15% calcium 3% magnesium 5% sulphur) sub treatments. Results revealed that application significantly reduced pH 8.5 from 8.96 initial which par setright 600kg/ha (8.68) mud (8.69). Whereas exchangeable sodium ESP due 400 kg/ha (1.78 cmol/kg 6.52 respectively) pressmud 100% GR (1.85 7.03) compared control (3.69 13.72 Thus Setright 400kg/ha or are more beneficial rectifying sodicity

Amelioration of salt affected soils in rice paddy system by application of organic and inorganic amendments
Combined application of organic and inorganic amendments was known to play a significant role in improvement of soil properties. A field experiment was conducted to explore the effects of gypsum, farmyard manure and commercial humic acid application on the amelioration of salt affected (saline sodic) soil. During this study, soil pH, electrical conductivity, sodium adsorption ratio, responses o...

Field experiments were conducted to determine the effects of organic andinorganic amendments on weed suppression in sweet maize cultivation (Zea maysL.). A randomized complete block design was employed with four replicates pertreatment with each organic amendment used at half (x/2), single (x=10 t ha-1) anddouble (2x) rates (organic fertilization: cow manure, poultry manure and barleymulch; syn...

Background and Objective: Heavy metals fixation in-situ by using inorganic amendments is a method for immobilization of polluted soils. The goal of this research was to determine efficiency of five amendments for heavy metals fixation of waste-water-irrigated soils around Tabriz city. Materials and Methods: Cadmium, Pb, Cu, Ni, and Zn- containing solutions were added to 0.5 gram of five amendm...
